Quebec City: strike expected on 22 and 23 May in the RTC maintenance department - Possible disruption to the public transport network

The Syndicat de l'entretien du Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) in Quebec City has filed a new strike notice for 22 and 23 May. The walkout is part of an ongoing labour dispute over the renewal of the collective agreement, particularly on issues of pay and working conditions.

While the drivers are not directly affected, disruptions to the operation of the public transport network are possible, particularly if there is an indirect impact on vehicle and infrastructure maintenance.

RTC management says that adjustments could be made to the service offering during this period.
