According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least one person was killed and 7 others injured on 27 January following shots fired by the Israeli army (IDF) against residents who were trying to return to the border villages of Odaisseh, Bani Haiyyan, Yaroun and Houla, in the Nabatieh governorate.

We remind you that at least 24 people were killed and 134 others injured on 26 January following Israeli shots against Lebanese who were trying to return to their villages (SSF 26/01/2025). Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend until 18 February the deadline for the departure of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon.

Further tensions are to be expected.
