Offshore earthquake of magnitude 5.0 east south-east of Uchiza - Aftershocks not to be ruled out

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said a magnitude 5.0 earthquake occurred at 5:46pm local time on 13 June at 51km east-south-east of Uchiza.

The hypocentre of the earthquake was measured at a depth of 10km.

At present, no information regarding damage or possible casualties has been reported.
